Procrastination may occur in any or all areas of your life. You find yourself putting decisions, tasks,and/or responsibilities to the side to do at a later time, knowing allwell, it must be done. You may fill your time up with distractions, or do nothing at all. The simple intention of a procrastinator is to not do what they need to eventually do, right now.
Why would this cause any issue? As long as it gets done-,...right? Procrastination can oftentimes be a significant cause of anxiety and panic, and be a symptom of depression, lack of motivation, and even insecurity. This is because a chronic procrastinator will end up feeling more pressure when it finally comes to completing the task they found originally overwhelming in now such a short period, and additionally, at this point may also mentally beat themselves up for wasting so much of their time
Everyone procrastinates from time to time, but when it becomes your common MO, life can become super stressful. Stress can cause a decrease in health and wellness generally as well with lack of sleep, poor eating, and stress to the body. It can also effect interpersonal relationships.
The truth is time is a scarcity, we do not have an infinite amount of it to experience in our individual lives. Therefore, the more we are better skilled to make the most of it, the more we feel we have accomplished and experienced more in life.
